Thank you for your interest in becoming the next Rector of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Mountain View. We are looking forward to learning more about you.

This written application is the first step in our discernment process. Please email your application information to the Rev. Canon Brian Nordwick at brian@edecr.org. Use the subject “Candidate for Rector, St. Timothy’s, Mountain View”

We will begin evaluating applications on April 28, 2012. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. The search committee will send a confirmation when your application is received. We will contact you after the application review stage is complete to let you know the status of your application.

Rector Candidate Application Checklist

  • Cover letter to Saint Timothy’s Rector Search Committee
  • Resume
  • Copy of or URL to your online Transitional Ministry profile
  • Responses to the following four questions:
    1. Describe your spiritual journey and how it has prepared you for a call to serve as rector at St. Timothy’s.
    2. Please describe your teaching style and give an example of a successful teaching experience.  How do you assess your success?
    3. Vision may be defined as prayer-based foresight resulting in a directed plan of action. Discuss how you have discerned a community’s vision and engaged group participation in achieving that vision.
    4. How have music, laughter, and fun informed your spiritual development, and how do you incorporate them into your ministry?
  • Two sermons that you have preached recently
  • Completed personal information form (link to form will be sent once application is received)
